experiment: counting fingers

creating classes for different amount of fingers touching the bulb “screen, position in these tests deliberately random, only amount of fingers as a metric

thoughts: works very well in shown example. problems: When expanding to detecting also more than three fingers, it has difficulties discerning between 3-5 fingers. possible reasons: overlapping shadows from previous fingers create new dark spots which looks like an additional finger

experiment: finger distance

creating classes for “measuring” the distance / pressure applied with only one finger, classes include (see pictures below for samples):

• nothing even close to the camera - background very smooth
• hand/finger comes up to a few centimeter to the camera - some shadows are visible
• one finger comes up to a few millimeter
• one finger touches/presses down on bulb body
